A portion of the Historic Douglas County, Inc. mission focuses on the “…expansion and enrichment of public awareness of Douglas County history through education and communication.” Educational resources, made available to the public, is a part of Historic Douglas County, Inc.’s portfolio that contributes to the achievement of this mission. In addition to our event activities and working with historical societies – organizations and historical venues, we also offer educational resources in three primary areas: 1) Programs; 2) The enactment of characters from Douglas County’s historic past (Available to schools); and 3) A selection of books that address our historic past.
