2012 Healthy Living Expo Event Details

Come spend the day, or part of your day, enjoying the 2012 Healthy Living Expo at the Douglas County Event Center in Castle Rock. Over 100 exhibitions will present Colorado’s largest Expo focused on Living, Working and Playing in Colorado. This event is Free to the Public and provides a great chance for you to see fabulous products and services for residents of Douglas County and surrounding areas. The day opens with the “Freeze Your Buns Off 5K Run” and is estimated at 1,000 runners! You can also “Strut your Stuff and participate in interactive presentations and demonstrations. See the Finest Businesses & Associations in Colorado showcase their products at the Healthy Living Expo. Join us! HDC will be at the Expo as well!

Castle Rock History Museum Fire Fighting Exhibit Event Details

The Castle Rock History Museum opens a new exhibit on Fire Fighting in Castle Rock. Also on hand will be a Castle Rock Fire Department truck and crew. Come and see an exhibit of pictures, documents and artifacts connected with fire fighting in Castle Rock. Light refreshments will be served. He has and is serving on a large variety of committees since he was elected in 1996. His main emphasis as Council-member is to ensure a strong economic foundation through an effort to attract retail businesses to Parker. Program at 7:00 PM.

The Frank Lewis-Dale Jones Gang Event Details

Palmer Lake Historical Society presents a fascinating, informative evening as Dwight Haverkorn, retired Colorado Springs Police Investigator, taking the audience back to the early 1900s when the Frank Lewis-Dale Jones Gang terrorized the Colorado Springs area. Between 1913 and 1918, the Gang killed nine police officers and were involved in a deadly shootout in Colorado Springs in September 1918. The gang Gang perfected the use of the getaway car to flee bank robberies. Dale Jones and Marge Dean, the Gang's getaway car driver, died in a hail of police bullets in November 1918, just like Bonnie and Clyde were to meet their end many years later.

Veterans Monument Night Event Details

The Parker Texas Roadhouse is lending a helping hand to the hardworking Douglas County Veterans Monument organization. Bring the family and have a great steak, a rack of superb ribs or whatever you wish at the Roadhouse and the Roadhouse will donate 10 percent of your bill to the Veterans Monument fund. This is a very good way to treat the family to some really good food and help a great, patriot cause at the same time. "Nobody does it like the Roadhouse!!" Remember the date, February 21 ...and the time - 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM. "See you there ...and, please pass the bucket of peanuts!"
